The Perfect Margarita with a Spicy Twist

Glass of Jalapeño Cilantro Margarita

Earlier this year, the family went to Scottsdale, AZ for vacation. We left a foot of snow behind and welcomed the beautiful, warm weather! I completely fell in love with the area. I also discovered the perfect margarita at an AMAZING restaurant called The Mission. If you ever find yourself in Old Town Scottsdale, you have to go there! The food is incredible. And they have a simple, yet perfect, margarita made with only tequila, fresh lime juice, and agave syrup. Throw away your sweet and sour mix and never look back.

The Mission Restaurant in Scottsdale AZ The Mission Restaurant in Scottsdale AZ If you read my recent Peppercorn-Infused Cocktails post, you already know of my obsession with spicy cocktails. I was recently working on new ways to spice up my margarita (and failing). I knew what I wanted but couldn’t quite get it right. In the mean time, I was sipping on my go-to margarita, The Jalapeño Cilantro Margarita. Muddled jalapeño and cilantro is the perfect addition to my already perfect margarita. If you’re not into spicy margs, just leave out the jalapeño and cilantro and sip on The Perfect Margarita.
